Kay Bros. Barbeque was my option for tonight... I wanted some kind of comfort food and boy did I get it with their Spare Rib Platter... Wonderful "bark" on the ribs themselves and the sauce of choice is the Sweet and Spicy Barbeque sauce.... the only thing that I was disappointed with was the fries... you know you have overcooked fries when a) they look like shoe leather, and b) you bend them in half and get a waterfall of grease... but other than that, the ribs make up for it. It was a little bit pricey, but indulgence is allowed every once in a while, right?
Setting: Murphree dorm with a VERY hungry girl... :P
Overall, this food was about $14.00... but they really don't skimp on the ribs and fixins.... great barbeque place for Gainesville and very close by as well..
A blog created for the introduction of foodie favorites and where to get them from a photographer/artist/student. Since I always love to take pictures of my foods, I thought I would share my aspect of the fantastic food blog. :)

Einstein Great Find
So I was looking for something different one day around lunchtime and I wanted something with significant crunch but a new twist that I had never experienced. I'm not usually a big fan of fish, due to the dryness or the actual fishy taste while eating it. But upon arriving, I have found an amazing thing. Einstein Bros. Bagels in the HUB makes a Nova Lox and Bagel. It is your bagel of choice, toasted to perfection, covered in a base of cream cheese and topped with a cold-smoked salmon, capers, tomatoes, and onions. A more savory breakfast/lunch fit for a QUEEN in my book. (In this case, I omitted the onions because I didn't want breath reminiscent of Godzilla's.) :)
Setting: Right after class, very hungry due to small breakfast. In love and obsessed with this light snack. You get a cheesy crunchy flavor from the bagel and cream cheese (I chose Asiago), then the light salmon flavor along with the meaty texture and light flavor of the tomatoes. This is all topped off with salty capers, to give it that extra bite. Given, it's an acquired taste (a lot of people do not like fish, especially for breakfast), but for those who are willing to take the plunge into exotic and gourmet food, THIS IS A MUST TRY! :D
ps. If you are worried about Smoked Salmon being raw, here is a little explanation of what it is:
There are two types of smoked salmon:
1) is Cold Smoked - This method leaves the meat smoke cured in a cold way, giving the texture of uncooked salmon.
2) is Hot Smoked - This method actually cooks the meat using the heat of the smoke.
- Both are SAFE TO EAT as they have been cured with smoke.
Surroundings: I was involuntarily thrust into a conversation about God by the people to the left of me while eating this... typical of a college setting with varying views on religion..

Introduction and MOCHIIIII :)
So, I know there are so many "Food Blogs" out there that would make you want to scream! But I think you'll like my quirky little additions along with some of my food photography taken mostly from my iPhone. So, come along with me on my journey through food, fun and fantastic moments. Hope you enjoy. I'll start us off with a trip to Mochi.
Setting: Sunday night. About 7:30pm. Mochi on West University Blvd. Gainesville, FL. I have been feeling pretty down about school, but something about this little sweet treat brought my out of my grey clouds and into choco-coconut-strawberry-kiwi-almond heaven. Started off with a great foundation of coco-nilla yogurt and promptly piled on almond and kiwi-strawberry yogurt as well. As the finisher, topped it off with kiwi and strawberries (naturally), almonds, and a great hint of dark chocolate mini-chips. This bite was delicious and WAY TOO good to pass up... made my night.
Feeling: After eating sushi and trying not to hurl from seeing an obviously drunk woman puking from her car, I felt glad that this was what I was ending the night with...
